OUR COMMITMENTS
In PROWPMAN we are committed to healthy wood business by consolidating Sustainable Forest Management and taking responsibilities.

Sustainable Wood Trade
Our yesterday actions and inaction are responsible for the results of what we get today and in future . In PROWPMAN we are environmentally and socially responsible to create a healthy flow of resources in terms of forest raw materials and finished product. We conduct our business and manage our forest in a Sustainable manner to enjoy all season production and export. Honestly, this has been helping our drives to restore our forest.
Reinforcing Due-deligence
Keying into indigenous, national and global policies guidelines and procedures of relevant forest governance institutions in the way we conduct our business is one of our top priority. We don't just want to bring our depleted and degraded forest cover back and mitigate the effect of Climate Change but we make sure that our people do it right without compromising the fundermental right of our indigenous people.
Partnership
We had made several tremendous effort by working together with Nigeria Government through its ministries to increase investment in Sustainable Forest Management by single handedly domicile funds into National Forest Trust Fund through our trading activities. Also advice government to introduce levy on CITES certificate issuance as to generate more revenue including reinvesting revenue generated from wood export in terms of reforestation and creating enabling environment for wood business through subsidizing importation of Wood processing equipments.
Providing leadership
PROWPMAN is one big family where every members is important. With good precision we work together to find solutions to our challenges by creating an in-house strong partnership and uniting businesses. We also expand their capacity for optimum performance and complaince to regulations and provides for them an opportunities for healthy improvement and growth. Journey So Far

    Fact Files
The formal timber sector employs more than 13.2 million people. It also produces more than 5,000 types of wood-based products, and generates a gross value added of over $600 billion each year. But the timber sector’s economic contribution is much larger-- the sector is mainly informal and its value remains largely unreported. Including the informal sector in GDP calculations could double the contribution of the timber sector and quadruple the number of related full-time jobs.

"Governments needed to do more to encourage sustainable forest management (SFM) in the tropics, including by providing incentives" “In many countries, unsustainable production is more profitable than sustainable practices, which are more expensive.“ So we need a revolution in terms of how the public sector is providing incentives and how it promotes sustainable forest management against unsustainable forest management.” “If there is no demand for sustainable products we have no sustainable forest management.”
    Gerhard Dieterle
    ITTO Executive Director
The use of forests, wood and wood fibres contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Forest biomass is becoming increasingly important for energy production and the substitution of non-renewable materials.

There is a need to change the narrative about forests, looking beyond negative news on deforestation to communicating the potential of forests to contribute to sustainable development.
    Eva Muller
FAO Director of Forest Policy and Resources.
Climate finance for tropical forests is low, partly due to a problem of perception. The case for the economic relevance of productive forests needs to be made. And to change the perception of tropical forest production as a risky venture. There is a need for a complete review of incentives that promote SFM.

    Program on Forests
If forest dwellers remain poor they would degrade the forest and cause deterioration to the environment in their quest to earn a living. But if they are better off in terms of economic and social benefits, they will strive to protect it without been compel to do so Because their life depends on sustainability of those resources.
